Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Credit Manager for an opportunity with a client located in Terrell, TX.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise credit team personnel; monitors each employee's work activity
  • Ensure that staff is meeting goals, complying with company standards and polices, federal collection laws, and generally performing the essential functions of the employee's position
  • Analyze customer financial data and payment history to determine creditworthiness
  • Negotiate documentation and payment terms with customers to ensure transactions are properly secured
  • Review delinquent accounts and advises VP/CFO of serious delinquent accounts or high risk accounts
  • Review over credit limit accounts and provides recommendations
  • Monitor employee timecards and makes changes when necessary
  • Monitor and approve overtime
  • Process corporate treasury tasks including bank transfers, monitoring lines of credit, analyzing bank covenants, and calculating financial ratios
  • Authorize or refers accounts for legal actions against debtors

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors in relevant field (business, accounting, finance). Treasurer or Credit Certification preferred.from any of the following
  • Minimum five (5) years credit and collection experience
  • Working knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Act, Antitrust Laws, State laws and Federal laws concerning collection activities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. SAP and PowerPoint experience a plus
  • Ability to recommend, develop, and implement new ideas, approaches, or methods that support the department/company
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers in a professional manner to achieve company goals of maximum sales and collections at minimum risk
  • Must be able to refrain from discussing confidential information with parties that are not on a need to know basis
  • Good negotiation skills and an empathetic attitude to achieve the best results
  • Good leadership and motivational abilities required to manage and direct staff
  • Working knowledge of Export Laws and Requirements
  • Ability to think logically and intelligently to come up with reasonable solutions.
  • Interviewing and Performance Appraisal skills
