AV Systems Architect

Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a AV Systems Architect for an opportunity with a client located in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities:

• Audio and video project design, SOW creation, planning and management
• Liaise with Workspace Resources and Line of Business managers to support A/V systems and environment design
• A strong team participation character
• A good understanding of other building services
• Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of outputs
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute to the quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines
• High levels of written and oral communication
• A willingness to travel, from time to time, to support specific client requirements
• Report status of I.T
• This position will serve the role as the key person to deploy campus wide A/V solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+years of relevant experience in enterprise A/V cloud and hybrid environments
• Strong knowledge in broadcast consoles and mixing systems, digital playback / automation systems,
• Possess an understanding of audio, video and control flow, computers and router/wireless networking, calibrating projectors and TVs, control and video distribution, and DSP programming skills
• Should be familiar with (installing and programming) various Crestron, AMX, Extron, Control4, URC
• AM/FM/TV broadcast transmitters, streaming, STL and microwave systems, data/voice networks, structured cabling, power generators, UPS battery backup systems, CCTV and security
• Very strong hands on experience with Linux/Unix Operating Systems administration, kernel details, security, and configurations
• Hands on experience in setting up audio and video systems, gain structure, processing and leveling
• Must have supported a global A/V environment
• Expert in streaming video encoding, codecs and processing
• Strong knowledge in MPEG-2 to H.264/AVC and H.265 (HEVC) standards and streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH
• Good understanding of configuration and support of advanced video equipment (e.g. VOD, controllers, multiplexing, digital transport, edge QAM)
• Must be well versed with A/V equipment
• Must be well versed with Cisco video systems
• Experience in scripting and Linux operating systems
• Understanding of network including TCP/IP, IPSec and routing protocols, DHCP, routers, switches, and firewalls
• Understanding of video network architecture, data networking, system operations, and HFC cable systems are required
• Verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work with cross functional project team
• Experience with delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
