Job Summary:

Hunter Hollis is seeking a Accounting Manager for an opportunity with a client located in Addison, TX.



Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy of invoicing in line with client contracts
  • Complete and review the daily reconciliation procedures between general ledger and billing systems to ensure the accurate and timely recording of revenue data and related receivables
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger
  • Complete financial close activities related to revenue accounting
  • Ensure an accurate and timely period, quarterly, and year end close for all related accounting
  • Manage cash function
  • Provide accounting guidance to ensure revenue transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP
  • Perform quarterly and annual balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis
  • Analyze the monthly financial statement for variances to prior period (actuals) and vs. current period budget/forecast
  • Coordinate with external auditors as needed
  • Generate/review reports as needed to support budget and forecasting as well as analysis of activity for unusual trends and accuracy of balances
  • Collaborates with the finance and various operation department managers to support overall department goals and objectives

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Accounting, required
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Seven to ten (7-10) years of general ledger accounting experience in a midsize company environment and/ or public accounting experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Great Plains and QuickBooks preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills with a sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced/growing environment while maintaining adequate attention to details
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel - Advanced level Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups)
  • Maintain honesty and integrity in all circumstances
  • Professional and effective oral and written communication skills
